Great Area and Best Guide

Great area with stunning rock formations, great views from the top and amazing rock hewn churches. The churches are hidden in the rocks, so one needs a guide to get there - I went with Fisseha, who lives in the area (but also makes trips to Danakil, Axum, Lalibela, souther tribes etc.). He is one of the best guides I ever had with excellent english, great mindset and lots of knowledge and information.

Best guide at TIGRAY REGION!!

The End of december 2023 . I felt totally safe to visit this region. I just finished some great hikes with great Mountain Views and visited the amazing rock churches with the best guide who has lots good knowledge and story about the churches and the local life and the time they experienced during the war!

I have been traveling over twenty years and I only recommend good quality guide and knowledgeable guide. Even I met so many local guides said that I was lucky to have Fisshea as guide. He is highly regarded even for locals. He speaks great English. I learned a lot and impressed by how he scheduled things for me to visit based on my preference and energy. Here is his contact info.
Hope more people support local guides instead the big agencies take all the money away.
